Jim is the Managing Partner and founder of JW Investment Consulting.  He has spent over 35 years in various roles in the investment industry.  Throughout his career he has learned the value of prudent and independent investment advice and how important it is to achieve the long-term goals of every investor. 

Jim has worked as Director of Research/Senior Consultant for an investment consulting firm, Director of Marketing and Business Development for an asset management firm, and Director/Wealth Advisor for a wealth management company.  In addition, he is founder and co-owner of Portfolio Concepts, Inc., an online training company he founded in 1993 which trains registered representatives how to create portfolios for high-net-worth individuals. 

Jim has also served on multiple investment committees including:

1. Marquette University High School, investment committee chair, (2016-2022)

2. Wauwatosa Public Library Foundation, investment committee chair, (2024-present)

In 1994 Jim was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation by the CFA Institute.  He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (BBA). 

When not working Jim spends as much time as possible outdoors walking, biking, hiking, fishing and kayaking mostly with his wife Amy and anyone else he can convince to join him.
